The inclusion of millets in this diet is very beneficial for wild birds. Silica; which is found in millet, is important for the development & strengthening of a birds bones, ligaments & other body systems. Canary Seed is high in protein yet low in fat which can help with the removal of excess fat & birds that gain weight easy. Sunflower kernels & Red Dari are a good source of protein & fat, while the chopped peanuts provide a leaner source of protein. This diet contains groats which are vital for energy boosts for adult & baby birds. Hempseed also offers its benefits, offering an extra energy boost.
